Scott comes to us with over 13 years in music.  He began playing guitar and after 10 years has switched to playing bass.  Although he’s only played bass for 3 years, his talent on the guitar has made his transfer to the four string quite easy.  Scott has had years of stage experience including the bands Elevation of Depression and Little Man.  In 1997, his band Elevation of Depression won a Buffalo Music Award for Best New Artist.  His guitar sounds have been recorded on 4 cd’s between his earlier bands and Buffalo music compilation cd’s.  Scott also plays bass currently with The Patrick Kane thing.

Scott’s love for playing guitar began the first time Guns-N-Roses but his desire to switch to bass came from one man, Geddy Lee.  Although all the members of Rush are incredible musicians, Scott was wowed by the amazing, almost lead guitar like, bass lines in the music.  Other bands like Dream Theater, Fear Factory and Me First and the Gimmie Gimmie’s influence his playing.

Although he has played through Crate amps during his guitar years, Scott now plays a Fender Bassman Pro.  A tube driven 300 watt head drives his fender 4X10 cabinet.  Scott also uses an Audio-Technica wireless system (when the bar is big enough).  As for guitars, Scott started out on a beginner Ibanez, moved up to a Yamaha, and now plays on 2 standard Fender Jazz Basses.  His black bass has been modified to have almost all custom parts on it.  He has a 5 string Peavey Grind and a Palatino upright electric bass for those classics that need an acoustic bass sound.  Scott uses Rotosound and Tomasik Spirocore bass strings.

Although he’s a new edition to the band, we are sure his bass skills and personality will fit right in with all the members of Blind Vision. We are happy to have him as part of the band.
