Giulio has been playing bass since the mid to late seventies. Influences Include Rush, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Yes, ELP, Styx, Supertramp and many more. Never one to shy away from adding new techniques, ideas or trends to his repertoire, the "Big Hair" bands of the 80's coupled with grunge and hard rock of the 90’s further developed and rounded out his musical style. His iconic influences, however, such as Geddy Lee, Chris Squire, John Paul Jones, Fran Sheehan, and Billy Greer can still be heard in the undertones of his thunderous bass lines. Giulio uses a Schecter Omen 4 series bass as his main axe but also plays a Fender for drop-D tuning. Piped through his David Eden WT800C World Tour 1200watt Amp w/1x15 and 4x10 bass cabs, you’ll not only hear his riffs but you feel them in your gut.

From his early days with Rasputin out on the west coast to present day, Giulio has been a part of many different bands in a variety of genres. Recent notable accomplishments include reaching the east coast regional finals in Fuse TV's Bodog 2007 Battle Of The Bands as a member of an original rock trio culminating at Atlanta’s Center Stage venue. In addition to writing and creating music, Genua is an accomplished sound engineer and produced a debut album for a professional "Big Hair" band in the Baltimore area from ‘87-‘88. After playing in some of the east coast's more notable venues, he returned home to augment a western NY party rock band, Sudden Blast, for the past two years (08 – 09).
